Stand With the Church in the Middle East
Across the Middle East, millions of people are living with growing uncertainty as war and instability affect daily life. Families are facing economic hardship, communities are experiencing fear and disruption, and many people are searching for hope in the midst of difficult circumstances. Yet even in these moments, the Church remains present—serving, praying, and bringing the hope of Christ to people who need it most.
The war centered in Iran is sending shockwaves across the Middle East.
As tensions continue, communities throughout the region—including Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and neighboring countries—are feeling the effects.
For many families, daily life has become fragile. Economic pressures are increasing, travel and work are disrupted, and uncertainty has become part of everyday life.
Across the Middle East, believers are praying, caring for their neighbors, and offering hope to people who feel overwhelmed by uncertainty and loss. Churches are opening their doors to families in need, sharing food with those who are struggling, and providing comfort to people who have experienced trauma from conflict.
God continues to work through His people—even in difficult circumstances.
Strengthening the Church Across the Region
The needs created by conflict do not stop at national borders. Instability in one country often affects surrounding regions as families move, economies shift, and communities struggle to recover.
Because of this, ICR works with trusted partners throughout the Middle East to provide support wherever it is most needed. This includes strengthening local churches, caring for vulnerable families, and helping believers continue their ministry even during times of crisis.
Last year alone, partners distributed 20,000 Bibles to Iranians across the Middle East, helping seekers and new believers encounter God’s Word.
In places like Afghanistan, where conflict and hardship have affected daily life for years, partners helped provide 464,940 meals and distributed over 103 tons of relief supplies to families in need.
These efforts show how the Church continues to serve even in the most challenging environments.
Meeting Needs While Sharing Hope
Local believers are often the first to respond when communities face hardship. Churches help provide food, medical assistance, and practical care for families who have lost income or been displaced.
At the same time, they offer something just as important: hope.
Through prayer, counseling, and compassionate service, people who are hurting encounter the love of Christ through those who are serving them.
Even in the midst of conflict, the Gospel continues to spread as people search for peace, meaning, and lasting hope.

As the global Church, we can stand with them through prayer. Ask God to protect His people, bring peace to troubled nations, and continue revealing His love to those searching for hope.
Iran
Pray for believers in Iran who gather quietly in house churches despite increasing arrests of church leaders. Ask God to protect these communities and strengthen their faith as they worship under pressure.
Pray comfort and endurance for Christians imprisoned in Iran because of their faith. Ask God to sustain them with hope and encourage their families who wait for their release.
Pray for Shima*, an Iranian believer whose house church was exposed after a betrayal that led authorities to the group. Ask God to restore trust and strengthen her ministry.
Praise God that underground house churches in Iran continue to grow even as government pressure increases and church leaders face imprisonment.
Israel
Pray for peace in Israel as war and regional tensions continue to affect families and communities.
Pray for churches and Messianic believers in Israel as they care for people facing grief, trauma, and uncertainty during ongoing conflict.
Pray for wisdom for Christian leaders in Israel who are offering prayer, counseling, and practical help to their communities.
Pray for protection for civilians in Israel who continue to live under the threat of violence and instability.
Praise God for ministries in Israel serving both Jewish and Arab communities with compassion and practical support.
Yemen
Pray for peace in Yemen after years of war and instability that have devastated communities and displaced families.
Praise God for Khaled*, who discovered Jesus through an online ministry and now longs to share the gospel with others.
Pray that new believers in Yemen will grow strong in faith despite isolation, persecution, and daily risks.
Pray that God would continue to use online outreach and personal relationships to bring hope to people in Yemen.
Libya
Pray for stability and peace in Libya after years of conflict and recent violence that has shaken the capital, Tripoli.
Pray for Christian converts in Libya who have been imprisoned for their faith. Ask God to strengthen them and bring justice in their appeals.
Pray for the small community of believers in Libya who must follow Jesus quietly for their safety.
Pray that the church in Libya would continue to grow even in secrecy as people search for hope in a fragile nation.
Syria
Pray for believers in Syria who continue to live with uncertainty after years of war and upheaval.
Praise God for counselors like Judy* who are helping Syrians heal from trauma caused by war and disaster.
Pray for converts from Islam in Syria who may face rejection from family or community because of their faith.
Pray that Syrian churches would continue to serve as places of healing, hope, and spiritual renewal.
Saudi Arabia
Pray for believers in Saudi Arabia who must practice their faith quietly because public churches are not allowed.
Pray for Christian parents raising children in a society where Islamic studies are required in schools.
Pray for single believers in Saudi Arabia who often struggle to find Christian fellowship or spouses who share their faith.
Pray that God would strengthen believers in Saudi Arabia and provide safe ways for them to encourage one another.
